Whether you are having a house party, painting the town red, having a family time, bachelorette party or hanging out with a few friends there is no better way to spice up the party and have fun than by playing drinking games.
Ready to have some fun? Here is a list of 10 of our favorite drinking games to play.
1. Straight face
Hand out a piece of paper each to everyone. Everyone should write something funny on the piece of paper given to him/her. Gather the paper and toss it in a pile (you can use a cup, plate etc.).
Each player takes turn picking one paper out of the pile and reading it. Whoever laughs has to take a drink.
2. Drunk Jenga
Drunk Jenga is like normal Jenga but with more fun and booze! Buy a Jenga set, and write different funny and crazy rules on each block and stack up the block.
Each player has to pick up one block from the stack of blocks with one hand and place it on top of the pile without the stack falling. If the stack falls, you take a drink, pick up two blocks and complete the challenges.
3. The Name Game
How well do you know your celebs? This game tests just that! To start, a player says the name of a famous person, the next person has to say the name of a famous person whose name starts with the first letter of the other person’s surname. If you can’t think of a name immediately, you take a drink while thinking.
Let’s say the first player says Justin Bieber, the next player can say Bradley Cooper, then the next person says Chris Pratt and it goes on and on like that.
4. Never Have I Ever Drinking Games
Never have I ever is a great icebreaker game and is perfect for large groups. Each player takes turn sharing something they have never done before and the people who have will take a sip of their drink. For example, “Never have I ever been kicked out of a bar,” all those in the group who have been kicked out of a bar will have a drink including the player if she/he has been kicked out of a bar. You can be sure to have a good time playing the game.
5. Beer Pong
If you are looking for a fun drinking game that can be played without cards then you should totally play beer pong! Gather drinking cups, ping pong balls and a booze of your choice.
Arrange 6 or 10 cups (half fill each cup with a booze of your choice) in a triangle formation on opposite ends of a table, split the group into two teams. Players from each team take turn throwing ping pong balls into the cups of the opponent team. If a ball lands in the opponent’s cup, the contents of the cup is consumed by the opponent’s team and the cup is removed from the table.
The game goes on until one team has no cups left. The team with the remaining cups wins.
6. Drink If
This game is similar to the Never Have I Ever game. Create a list of drink ifs, for example, drink if you have a tattoo. Each player reads off one line of the drink ifs, whomever the line applies to drinks and then the card gets passed.
If you are throwing a bachelorette party or having a girls night out, you can get one of our premade drink if games here.
7. Flip Cup
Flip Cup is one of our favorite drinking games that doesn’t require a coin or card to play. Just a booze of your choice and cups!
Split the group into two teams and provide each team with an empty cup each. Set out cups filled with booze for each team on a table.
Players from each team take turn drinking a cup with booze. After drinking, the player flips the empty cup and tries to make it land vertically. If the player succeeds the other team plays next, if s/he fails, the player drinks another cup and tries again until he gets it right.
The first team to finish their drinks wins the game.
8. I Drink and I Know Things
I drink and I know things is a quote by Tyrion Lannister in the popular TV show “Game of Thrones”. To play this game, select a category. For example, Greek Mythology.
Each player asks the group a question related to the category picked. If they give correct answer, the player who asked the question has to drink, if they don’t, they have to drink.
9. Most Likely To Drinking Games
This game is super fun and interesting. Each player takes turn asking questions about who the group thinks is most likely to do/be that thing, everyone in the group points to the person they think is most likely to do/be that thing at the same time.
The person with the most fingers pointed toward them takes a drink, if people tie they both drink. For example, most likely to have a reality show?
10. Drunk Pictionary
If you love Pictionary then this game is for you! Start with a player from the group, give a word to the player. The player has to draw out the word without speaking for the group to interpret within 30 seconds. For every 30 seconds the group cannot guess the word from what the player has drawn he/she has to take a drink.
Although drinking games are great for keep the fun going at the party you must remember to drink responsibly and stay hydrated.
